Sodexo Philippines, Stop Hunger Foundation Deliver Nearly PHP 2M Aid to Typhoon-Hit Communities in Northern Luzon
MANILA, Philippines – Sodexo Philippines, in partnership with the Stop Hunger Foundation, extended nearly PHP 2 million in financial assistance to communities severely affected by a powerful typhoon that struck Northern Luzon in July. The storm caused widespread damage in La Union and Bataan, areas where Sodexo operates several client sites and employs local staff.

The Stop Hunger Foundation donated €30,000 (approximately PHP 2M) to support relief operations, which included distributing rice and cash aid to more than 300 families in Barangay Nalasin, Balaoan, La Union. The initiative was carried out with the support of local NGO partner Deltacom–Zenith, which helped mobilize the aid quickly and efficiently.

The company’s Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Team, led by Gary Punzalan worked on the ground during the relief efforts. Sodexo Philippines said the initiative highlights its ongoing commitment to hunger relief and community resilience, demonstrating the power of partnerships in times of crisis.
