Sodexo Philippines Marks 12 Years of Growth with “Malasakit” Anniversary Celebration

Sodexo Philippines recently celebrated its 12th anniversary with the theme “Malasakit”, a Filipino value that reflects compassion in action and underscores the company’s commitment to serving its people, clients, and communities with care.

The anniversary program was highlighted by a special talk from Kara David, a multi-awarded journalist and advocate of compassion-driven storytelling. Held on November 6 at the Sodexo Philippines Head Office, the event brought together employees onsite and online for a session focused on empathy, kindness, and the responsibility to create positive change.

Known for amplifying the voices of underprivileged communities, Kara David shared personal stories and reflections that resonated with Sodexo’s mission of improving quality of life through service. Her message reinforced the importance of translating compassion into meaningful action—an approach closely aligned with the company’s values and culture.

The celebration also spotlighted Sodexo’s Better Tomorrow commitments across four pillars: People, Clients, Communities, and Planet. As part of the anniversary activities, employees were grouped according to these pillars and participated in volunteering initiatives designed to turn values into action. Activities included Head Office employees stepping into onsite roles to experience frontline operations, community engagement efforts, and sustainability-focused initiatives.
