Sodexo Philippines Marks World PWD Awareness Day with Inclusive Workplace Program

Sodexo Philippines marked World PWD Awareness Day on December 3 with an organization-wide program promoting inclusion and recognizing the contributions of persons with disabilities (PWDs) in the workplace. Held at the company’s Head Office and joined virtually by employees across Sodexo client sites, the event featured insights from Charles Plumley, General Manager of Great Place to Work Philippines, who emphasized the importance of fostering workplaces where individuals are valued and supported to grow.

The program also highlighted the personal story of Richard Arseno, Chairman of Bigay Buhay Multipurpose Cooperative, who shared his journey as a PWD and underscored resilience and purpose in overcoming challenges. Sodexo’s Country Leadership Team reiterated the positive impact of PWD employees on operations, culture, and service delivery, while the company recognized its own PWD workforce and thanked clients for supporting inclusive employment practices.
